Oliver Kalb Had the thought while listening to this that there is a different sound to a group of people playing music because of love of music than there is to a group of people playing music for love of self or money. I don't know Big Thief personally but the love of music is so palpable when I hear this that I can't imagine it was recorded with anything but. I love the flow of words and carefulness of the playing. So quiet and real. Favorite track: Mary.
